Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound cooked shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 package linguini pasta

Directions

Take a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Gather linguini then cook until tender, until 7 minutes. Drain.

In same time , preheat 2 tablespoons butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Take mushrooms; cook and move until tender. Carry to a plate.

Same pan, melt 1/2 cup butter gether with the minced garlic. move  in the cream cheese, breaking it up with a spoon as it melts. Move in the parsley and basil. Put it in medium heat for 5 minutes. Combine in boiling water until sauce is smooth. Move in cooked shrimp and mushrooms; heat sauce through.

Put linguini with shrimp sauce and serve.
