Spaghetti bolognese recipe


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled, finely chopped
  • 2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Large pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons SPLENDA® Granular
  • 1 stick celery, trimmed, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 500g thin spaghetti
  • Grated or flaked parmesan cheese, to serve


Step 1

Preheat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. And cook onion, celery , garlic,and carrot, stirring, about 5 minutes . Add mince. Cook, smash with a wooden spoon, about 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 2

Then add paste, tomatoes, oregano, nutmeg, SPLENDA® with 1/2 cup cold water.Get to the boil. Minimize heat to low. Still cooking, uncovered, about 20 to 30 minutes . Taste with salt and pepper.

Step 3

In the same time cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water, continue packet directions,after be smooth. Drain.

Step 4

Seperate pasta among serving bowls. Spoon over sauce. Serve with put cheese in top.Serve.
