Whole grain spaghetti with tuna and sundried tomato pesto

Ingredients

  • 350g Barilla Whole Grain Spaghetti
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 200g tuna, tinned in oil or fresh
  • 1/3 cup of capers
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 bunch of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 jar Barilla Sundried Tomato Pesto
  • 1 tbs dried chilli or 1 small fresh chilli
  • Rock salt, for pasta water
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

1 - We take  large saucepan, put plenty of water to the boil. After  the water is boiling, add rock salt (7g to a litre of water).

2 - Put the Barilla Whole Grain Spaghetti into the water then move. Cook and look to the instructions on the pack.

3 - Meantime, we use large skillet, preheat a few oil. After hot, combine the red onion and softly cook until 3 minutes . Then in this stage, gather garlic and chilli and cook for further 2 minutes.

4 - Gather the tuna and capers and cook for 2 minutes.

5 - Drain the pasta 1 minute and throwing it into the sauce with ½ cup of cooking water to allow the pasta to finish cooking in the skillet.

6 - We take from the heat then remove in the Barilla Sundried Tomato Pesto.

7 - The last stage take a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive oil and sprinkle with parsley.serve
